In the Georgetown University tradition of ‘living in service to others’ we are trying to educate young health professionals about the disparities in health care for underserved children and to foster their understanding and interest in the critical role of the provider in making a difference in the lives of medically vulnerable children. Pediatric resident and student education at Georgetown is a crucial component of our program. Medical, social work, and nursing students can spend time with our staff as part of our team (see webpage for details) Pediatric residents, as part of their training, also spend time with the mobile clinic during their intern year and many have their continuity clinics on the Mobile Clinic. In addition, we have developed an exciting two year advanced training Fellowship in Community Pediatric and Child Advocacy (Please see webpage).
