Description:
A fast-paced exciting two year pediatric fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital which combines: Community pediatric program management training in a clinical setting, child advocacy work in the heart of the nation’s capital and a Masters in Public Health.
Fellows will work directly with underserved/medically vulnerable children and families on the KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic and at community clinics
Fellows will learn about skills related to management such as grant writing, budgeting/finance, operations, program development and staff development.
Fellows will work with child ad vocates locally, regionally and/or nationally
Fellows will be involved in teaching students, residents, and community members about child health care issues
Fellows will learn about the problems facing children and work to make a difference in the communities in which they live
Fellowship has been awarded the APA Community Pediatric Award.
Applicants must be pediatric board eligible/certified and have a current District of Columbia license prior to starting on July 1, 2011.
Fellowship cycle: 2009-2011, 2011-2013, 2013-2015, etc
